MUSIC GREATLY ENRICHES OUR LITURGY

At Saint Michael’s, the congregation serves as the primary choir / musical body. Our musical leadership’s goal is to support and enrich congregational singing. 

Our musical culture is joyful, inclusive, collaborative, and relaxed. On any given Sunday, you might hear traditional hymns on our historic organ, contemporary worship songs, monastic-style chant, Americana folk tunes, and new inclusive lyrics to familiar favorites. 

We appreciate the deep roots of the Anglican musical tradition, and are also happy to explore new musical expressions. 

We value participation more than excellence, and any and all are invited, embraced, and encouraged to offer their musical gifts. The choir and musicians rehearse each Sunday at 9am, and everyone is welcome to join the chorus!
